I spend most my spare time outside doing things I really love. As you can see from my photo’s fun is my priority!

Scuba Diving

In December 2008 I did a course to get my scuba divers licence. I wanted to get my divers licence so that I could film under water and see what is happening to our reefs, oceans, seas and rivers. I will share my photos and film with you when I have some.

Mountain Biking

I have only been in this sport for a short but I really enjoy it. I love riding through the bush, over rocks and logs and through creeks. I like the challenge of riding over different terrain. I have seen some awesome wildlife on some of my rides. It is a difficult sport and I have had some very interesting stacks!

Rock Climbing - 3 times national champion and oceania champion / Ice Climbing

Climbing has been a big part of my life and it has taken me to great spots in Australia and New Zealand. I have won three Australian titles and won bronze and gold medals for Australia at Oceania. I am taking a break from competition. My love for the environment came from climbing outside in beautiful remote areas. I have met some amazing climbers from around the world and although climbing is not as big here in Australia we have some of the world’s best like, Robbie and Carlie Lebreton, Samantha Berry, Mark Edwards, Monique Forestier and her partner Simon Carter who is an amazing photographer, the Cossey brothers, Rod Young and my coach and mentor Tim Booth.

I travelled to Fox Glacier to complete an introduction to Ice Climbing Course when I was 10 years old. It is amazing what you can learn from the ice about the environment and you can read about my experience in the climate change pages on my website. Ice climbing is a lot different to rock climbing and getting used to the ice pick was tricky. I am going to do more of this in the future.

Football (Soccer) 1 national indoor soccer title

I have been playing football since I was five. I have played representive football (indoor and outdoor) and was part of the Coerver Academy. I play striker. I have also played indoor soccer and won an Australian title with a great team.

Surfing

I like surfing because each wave is a different challenge. I have some good days but a lot of bad days. I don’t think any of the pro surfers have to worry about me in the future. Surfing is a lot of fun and every Australian kid should have a least one go at it.
